Day-by-day plan for your Western Mongolia Nomadic Experience
Your nomadic adventure begins with a morning domestic flight from Ulaanbaatar to Hovd (approx. 3.5 hours). Upon arrival, you'll be greeted by your local guide and transferred to your hotel.
After lunch, explore Hovd town, visiting the local museum to learn about the region's ethnic diversity, history, and culture. Browse the local market where you can see traditional goods, handicrafts, and produce. In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner with traditional Western Mongolian cuisine.

After breakfast, drive to a Kazakh nomadic family camp (approx. 4 hours) through stunning mountain and steppe landscapes. Upon arrival, you'll be welcomed with traditional hospitality and settled into your family ger (yurt).
In the afternoon, you'll be introduced to the family's way of life and begin participating in some daily activities, which may include helping with livestock, learning about dairy processing, or assisting with ger maintenance.
